Shahab Zuberi denied that the management had never asked or directed Hamza Ali Abbasi to raise that question; nor was he [Hamza Ali Abbasi] asked to discuss it on the last day of his show/programme.

According to Pakistani newspaper Business Recorder, the management of Aaj TV and organisation's staff members have unwavering faith in Khatm-e Nubuwwat, the finality of the prophethood.
Business Recorder reported that Shahab Zuberi, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Aaj TV, expressed these sentiments during his meeting with a delegation of clerics which was led by provincial deputy chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Qari Usman.
The delegation also included leaders of the terrorist group, Aalami Majlis Tahafuzz Khatm-e-Nabuwwat, Rana Mohammad Anwar and Maulana Qazi Ahsan.
On Aaj TV management's behalf, according to Business Recorder, Shahab Zuberi tendered an unconditional apology 'for inadvertently hurting the sentiments of Muslims in Pakistan and abroad' when anchor Hamza Ali Abbasi in his Ramdan TV show, had merely asked if it is the state's jurisdiction to determine anyone's faith. Hamza Ali Abbasi was speaking in reference to the Pakistan's 2nd amendment to the Constitution that excluded Ahmadis from Muslim majority when defining who is worthy of being known as a Muslim in Pakistan.
Aaj Television management said the anchor had raised the "highly objectionable question" on his own volition.
Shahab Zuberi denied that the management had never asked or directed Hamza Ali Abbasi to raise that question; nor was he [Hamza Ali Abbasi] asked to discuss it on the last day of his show/programme.
According to the report, Shahab Zuberi told the Ulema's delegation that "the channel's management and staff members shall go to any extent for the protection of the honour and the finality of the prophethood of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him)."
Business Recorder further reported that Shahab Zuberi offered TV channel's full cooperation to Ulema and "praised the role of Aalami Majlis Tahafuzz Khatm-e-Nabuwwat."
