USA: Valley Muslims hold prayer service for victims of Orlando shooting


"We condemn this senseless and horrific act of violence in the strongest possible terms. Our hearts go out to the innocent victims and their families."

CHANDLER, Ariz. - The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Phoenix Chapter held a prayer service on Sunday night for the victims, their families and the entire grieving community in the aftermath of a mass shooting that left 50 dead.

The Muslim community is also encouraging its members to break their fasts and instead donate blood.

"We condemn this senseless and horrific act of violence in the strongest possible terms," said Shahzad Amjad, the president of the Phoenix chapter of the community. "Our hearts go out to the innocent victims and their families."

The public was invited to attend the event, which took place at Baitul-Aman Mosque in Chandler.
