UK: Asad Shah killer lodges appeal against sentence for brutal murder of shop keeper
Asad was an Ahmadiyya, a group known for their peaceful interfaith views. His Killer, Tanveer Ahmed, pled guilty to murder, claiming he carried out the killing because Asad “disrespected Islam”.

A MAN who murdered a Glasgow shopkeeper in a religiously motivated attack is appealing his sentence.
Tanveer Ahmed, 32, from Bradford, Yorkshire, stabbed and stamped on 40-year-old Asad Shah at his store in Shawlands on March 24.
Asad died in hospital from devastating head injuries. Almost every bone in his face was shattered.
Asad was an Ahmadiyya, a group known for their peaceful interfaith views. Ahmed pled guilty to murder, claiming he carried out the killing because Asad “disrespected Islam”.
At the High Court in Glasgow, he was ordered to serve 27 years in jail before he is eligible for parole.
The judiciary department have confirmed that an appeal against sentence has been lodged.
