Ghana: Gomoa Chief Lauds the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission for its Contribution to Nations’s Economy


Gomoaba Apata Kofi V said many people in the country have benefited immensely from the project and asked the mission to increase it’s investment in the project to create more employment for the teaming youths.

The Chief of Gomoa Pomadze in the Central Region of Ghana, Gomoaba Apata Kofi V, has commended the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission for its sterling contributions to socio-economic development in Ghana since its establishment.

According to the chief, the mission’s investments in various sectors in the country, such as education, health and agricultural, have contributed to the development process in the country and specifically helped to create employment for many Ghanaians.

Gomoaba Apata Kofi V, who is also the Guantoahen of the Gomoa Ajumako Traditional Area, gave the commendation during a three day Annual National Convention of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission at Gomoa Pomadze. He indicated that since the mission’s establishment some decades ago, it has established schools and hospitals that are serving the needs of Ghanaians.

He also said, since the mission took over the defunct Pomadze Poultry Enterprises from the Divestiture Committee, it has invested to revive the industry to create jobs and contribute to economic growth in the country.

He said many people in the country have benefited immensely from the project and asked the mission to increase it’s investment in the project to create more employment for the teaming youths.

He added that the doors of his palace are always open to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission for discussions aimed at improving the lots of the people.

The Guantoahen of Gomoa Ajumako Traditional Area also said national development should not be left to the government alone remarking that, actors like religious organizations and traditional authorities could collaborate to advance the progress of the nation.

Gomoaba Apata Kofi V was accompanied to the convention by a retinue of chiefs and queens from the Nyimfa Division of Gomoa Ajumako Traditional Area.

  1. Ahmadiyya Muslim community is always serving people to their best. This is a big thing that the Chief of Gomoa has acknowledged the efforts of Ahmadies. Loving one's country and serving people is part of Muslim's faith.

  2. It's good to know that chief of Gomoa appreciated the efforts done by Ahmadiyya Muslim community. This is the only community which is working for the humanity.
