Ahmadiyya Muslims from Grand Falls Windsor, Newfoundland, joined in vigil for the 6 Muslims slain in Quebec.

Representing the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at, Canada, Dr. Sadiq Boodhun offered the community's sentiments followed by a prayerful statement originally penned by Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, the Promised Messiah and the founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.

The text of the prayer is quoted below:
Be kind and merciful to humanity, for all are His creatures, do not oppress them with your tongue, or hands, or in any other ways. Always work for the good of mankind. Never unduly assert yourselves with pride over others, even those who are placed under you. never use abusive language for anyone, even though he abuse you. Be humble in spirit, kind and gentle, and forgiving, sympathetic towards all and wishing them well, so that you should be accepted.
Those present at the vigil joined in to repeat the prayerful words, it was reported.
