The world today is passing through very turbulent times. Being a Global community and a purely Islamic organization with its firm objective to establish Global peace, we consider our first & foremost duty to guide the world towards peace. Because Islam is a religion of peace. The very meaning of Islam is peace and harmony.

The purpose of Islam is to teach man the ways of attaining peace, both with himself and with his Creator. Under Divine direction, over 1,400 years ago, Hadrat Muhammadsa, the Holy Founder of Islam, began the process of delivering this message to humanity. Today, in this age and time, and in fulfillment of the prophecies of the Holy Prophet Muhammadsa, God raised Hadrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmadas, the Promised Messiah, a true and most sincere servant of the Holy Prophetsa, to rejuvenate the faith and instill the love of God in the hearts of men so that they may again learn the ways of peace and avoid destruction.

Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian founded the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in 1889 in the small village Qadian (District Gurdaspur), Punjab, which is now spread in 209 countries of the world. Being Law abiding citizens, respecting the personalities, scriptures and sentiments of all religions, promoting peace, harmony, tolerance & mutual respect are among the core features of the members of the community.

The community is also blessed with the spiritual leadership know as Khilafat (Caliphate) in Islam. Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the fifth successor of the Promised Messiah and the present worldwide head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. Under his guidance, the community is working to establish peace and universal brotherhood and is engaged in various charitable works for the welfare and uplift of the needy. The community also responds to natural calamities with its relief works under its auxiliary organization “Humanity First”.

The community also conducts peace symposiums throughout the world. The aim of the event is to achieve the larger goal of attaining Peace in society by bringing people from diverse walks of life together and provide them a forum to exchange ideas and experiences. Leaders and scholars from various fields and faiths were invited to express their ideas particularly on the topic of Pluralism and tolerance; thus highlighting the significance and need of tolerance in today’s pluralistic society worldwide.

The symposium promoted a deeper understanding of Islam and other faiths and seeks to inspire a concerted effort for lasting peace. Hundreds of guests attended this unique event, including Diplomats, faith and civic leaders as well as representatives from numerous charities and faith communities.
