Perspective: No ‘true religion’ teaches us violence | Adeelah Sayed
"The terrorist attack in London two days ago, in which innocent and defenseless people were targeted, including a serving police officer, was completely abhorrent and cruel in the extreme."

As a practicing Ahmadi Muslim, I vehemently reject the actions of Khalid Masood who attacked the British Parliament on March 22, taking the lives of four people and injuring more than 50 others.
My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families.
Islam, along with all other religions, teaches sanctity of human life and gives no justification for such a barbaric act. The Holy Quran affirms, “Whosoever kills an innocent ... it is as if he has killed all of mankind” (5:33).
The worldwide head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Mirza Masroor Ahmad, strongly condemned the Westminster attack and offered his sympathies to all affected. In his press release on March 24, His Holiness stated, “The terrorist attack in London two days ago, in which innocent and defenseless people were targeted, including a serving police officer, was completely abhorrent and cruel in the extreme.”
He then called on Muslims to take a collective stand against all forms of extremism.
Terrorist actions are not demonstrative of the religion they associate themselves with, as no true religion teaches violence.
The community has launched a nationwide #MeetAMuslim campaign, where members take to the streets to answer any questions people have about Islam.
