Imam Wadood Janud, Imam of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Victoria and Tasmania said:
“This inaugural luncheon provides an opportunity for parliamentarians and members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community to come together and learn about each other. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Tasmania has taken an active part in promoting the Islamic teachings of obedience to one’s government. Ahmadi Muslim youth have come here to not only display their utmost love and loyalty but also to learn about roles and responsibilities of government.”

While visiting the House of Assembly, members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community will have the honour of being welcomed by the Speaker of Parliament, The Honourable Elise Archer MP. During the luncheon, Ahmadi Muslims will have an opportunity to meet various parliamentarians including The Honourable Rob Valentine MLC, Member for Hobart and The Honourable James Wilkinson MLC, President of the Legislative Council.
