[W]e strive for spiritual elevation by focusing on prayer and doing good to others
As a member of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, I extend my condolences to the British and stand with them in mourning their loss. The spiritual leader (Khalifa) of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Mirza Masroor Ahmad, has said that “those who seek to justify their hateful acts in the name of Islam are serving only to defame it in the worst possible way.”
These barbaric people fail to realize that as Muslims around the world celebrate the holy month of Ramadan, we strive for spiritual elevation by focusing on prayer and doing good to others. Their actions are antithetical to everything Islam stands for, and should be condemned in the strongest possible terms.
