Sri Lanka: Hindu Priest Chief Guest at Seerathun Nabi Celebration in Colombo


Chief Guest Swami Sharma of Aramya Hindu Temple, Dematagoda said religions are uniting people and not for dividing and put forward the Hindu Terminology of worship.

Seerathun Nabi celebration marking the noble life and character of the Prophet Muhammad was held in Colombo recently (30 April 2017) at Baithul Hamd premises with the participation of members of other faiths.

Non-Ahmadi friends  and a Hindu Priest attended the event which was organized by Colombo Chapter of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.

The event started with the Holy Qur’an recitation followed by Urdu Nazm, composed by Promised Messiah (a.s.) in praise of his Master Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

In his address, National President Mr. A.H. Nasir Ahmad cited the verse of the Holy Qur’an Chapter 21, verse 108 reads: And We have sent thee not but as a Mercy for all mankind – and highlighted the various aspect of Holy Prophet’s life that proved Allah’s declaration sending the Messenger for all mankind.

Mr. S. Nizam Khan, President of Colombo Ahmadiyya Chapter in his address put forward the revolution made by Holy Prophet of Islam that changed the people from beast to people of worshiping One God. He also told the audience Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at is the one that started such Seerathun Nabi Celebration to put forward the sacred life of Prophet Muhammad, thus pave the way to remove the misunderstandings.

Chief Missionary Moulavi A.B. Musthaq Ahmad in his address quoted from Hindu Scriptures about the advent of Holy Prophet Muhammad and put forward the original script in Sanskrit language.

Chief Guest Swami Sharma of Aramya Hindu Temple, Dematagoda said religions are uniting people and not for dividing and put forward the Hindu Terminology of worship.

He was presented some literature of Islam Ahmadiyyath and a book titled “Namadhu Krishnar’ (in Tamil) that contains Sanskrit quotations from Hindu Scriptures about Islam and Prophet of Islam, (PBUH).

Large number of Ahmadi men women and children attended the event that concluded with silent prayers.
