USA: Madison Rotary to host 'Meet Your Muslim Neighbors'


Mazher is actively involved with building relationships between local community and governmental organizations through the promotion of interfaith dialogues.

The public and area Rotarians are invited to a special presentation of "Meet Your Muslim Neighbors", given by Mazher and Maryam Ahmad.

The presentation will take place at the weekly Madison Rotary Lunch Meeting at Rod's Steakhouse and Grill on Thursday, Oct. 19, at noon.

Mazher Ahmad is a first generation Muslim American and is a member of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of Central Jersey, where he actively is involved in building relationships with local community and government organizations through the promotion of interfaith dialogues.

Mazher is also a writer and contributor to the Muslim Sunrise, the longest running American-Muslim periodical in the U.S. He is passionate about clarifying misconceptions and stereotypes of Muslims in America.

He is the Global Head of Talent Acquisition & Organizational Development for a leading life sciences company, and has served as a business and HR executive for a number of global organizations. He received his MBA from the University of Chicago's Booth School for Business and Bachelors' degrees from the University of Pennsylvania.

Maryam has been a member of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community for 20 years. She teaches children's classes at her mosque on Saturdays and acts as a Public Affairs Liaison for the women's auxiliary.
