Sri Lanka: Ahmadiyya Muslims gift Quran Sinhala Translation to Minister Mahinda Samarasinghe


While accepting the Sinhala Translation of the Holy Qur’an, Minister remarked ‘Well done – go ahead with this noble task’.

‘Well done – go ahead with this noble task’

A three member delegation from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Sri Lanka (AMJSL) comprising Mr. A. Abdul Aziz, Press Secretary and National Director Faith Outreach – AMJSL, Moulavi A.B. Musthaq Ahmad – Chief Missionary (AMJSL), and I. Shakeel Ahmad (Photographer) visited various Ministries in Colombo to gift Holy Qur’an Sinhala Translation to Ministers of various portfolios recently. (13.12.2017)

The delegation visited to the Ministry of Ports and Shipping and met Honorable Mahinda Samarasinghe. While accepting the Sinhala Translation of the Holy Qur’an, Minister remarked ‘Well done – go ahead with this noble task’.

Hon. Mahinda Samarasinghe had also served as Sri Lankan Cabinet Minister of Disaster Management and Human Rights from 2006 – 2010. The delegation recalled the meeting of Respected Nasim Malik of Sweden in Genera with the Minister, in his capacity as Minister of Human Rights.

On the same day, the delegation proceeded to Ministry of Home Affairs and met Secretary to Minister of Home Affairs Hon. Vajira Abeywardena.

He welcomed the delegation and respectfully accepted the copy of Holy Qur’an Sinhala Transaltion on behalf of the Minister.

Apart from the copy of Sinhala Translation of Holy Qur’an, Minister was presented the Sinhala translation of the book:: World Crisis and the Pathway To Peace with Peace Message.
