This act of Pakistani government is totally unacceptable and U.S. should take notice of this. How can our aid and assistance make any difference when government of Pakistan is sponsoring such barbaric atrocities?

Few days ago, a Christian woman Asiya Bibi was sentenced to death for allegedly desecrating the name of Holy Prophet Muhammad. I, as a Muslim, strongly condemn this barbaric decision and urge the government of Pakistan to overturn this unjust step and save their country from further embarrassment and slide into the dark ages.
Islam and Prophet Muhammad never prescribed any punishment for such acts in the first place. Prophet Muhammad always showed patience and forgiveness in the face of insults and personal suffering. Pakistani government has by making such barbaric laws actually committed blasphemy against the Prophet Muhammad.
Asiya Bibi's original crime was sharing water with other Muslim women. As a revenge, the village Mullah registered a false complaint against her for insulting the Prophet. After 14 months of imprisonment and trial, lower court sentenced her to death, under the blasphemy law. The provincial government of Punjab was actively involved in prosecuting Asiya Bibi.
This act of Pakistani government is totally unacceptable and U.S. should take notice of this. How can our aid and assistance make any difference when government of Pakistan is sponsoring such barbaric atrocities?
If we can help Iraq and Afghanistan write constitutions that guaranteed western style freedoms to the citizens of those countries, then why can't we make the Pakistani politicians wake up to the reality that their constitution needs to be cleansed of such inhumane and cruel laws.
