Several religious and community organizations around Saratoga Springs will be hosting an informative program discussing Islam.
The event will be held on Sunday, January 9th at 5:30 p.m., at Temple Sinai located at 509 Broadway in Saratoga Springs. The Saratoga Peace Alliance, Temple Sinai, the Kairos Community, the Presbyterian-New England Congregational Church, and the Saratoga Quakers and Unitarians have collaborated with the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Mosque of Rotterdam Junction to present the program, which is open to all.
The event aims to give people an opportunity to not only learn about Islam but also to ask questions of the Muslim community.
After the presentation, attendees will share a vegetarian pot-luck supper and a discussion of how to build bridges and share commonalities.
Space is limited, and pre-registration is required. Call Linda LeTendre at (518) 633-4781 or email templesinai1@gmail.com to register and to sign up for a dish to share (Main Dish, Side Dish, Salad or Dessert). All food must be vegetarian. Registration is required by Wednesday, January 5th.
