USA: Celebrate religious freedom

As a Muslim American, I am able to practice my faith without fear of persecution. It is the vision of our forefathers who created the Declaration of Independence that makes this religious freedom possible, acknowledging "that all men are created equal."

While I experienced persecution in Pakistan, I celebrate this July Fourth for myself, my American-born children and all fellow Americans who never have to face the persecution based on their religious beliefs, race, ethnicity or country of origin.
