Sri Lanka Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya (Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association) holds its Annual Gathering (Ijtima) today - Sunday the 20th November 2011 at Ahmadiyya Jubilee Hall, Periyamulla, Negombo under its President Iman Fazal. Program starts with Thahajjud Prayer (Pre-dawn Supererogatory Prayer) and the main event starts at 9.00 a.m. with flag-hoisting accompanied with silent prayer.
The National President of Sri Lanka Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at A.H. Nasir Ahmad will be the Chief Guest.
The event includes Academic Competitions and Prize as well as Certificates will be awarded to the winners. Ahmadi students who obtained best results in the current year A/L/ and O/L Examinations (2010) are also to be awarded valuable Prizes and Certificates on the event.
Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya is a spiritual organization for the youth of the World-wide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. This Organization was established on January 31st 1938 by Hazrat Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmood Ahmad – the second Khalifa of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Islam. Every Ahmadi Muslims between the ages of 15 and 40 years must become a member of this auxiliary organization. The motto of this Organization is:
‘Reformation (Moral Training) of the nations cannot be done without the training of their youth’.
This Organization has various offices and office-bearers for the educational and moral training of the youth and also to inculcate in them love of social work.
