Germany: Symbol of understanding: Ahmadiyya Muslim Community donates trees

Fulda - "This tree is a symbol of friendship, the good cooperation and a symbol of understanding," said Rafique Khawaja, representatives from the headquarters of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community, who, since the beginning of the year, have carried out about 100 tree planting campaigns nationwide.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Fulda donated a cedar in the Muslim cemetery, which is part of the West cemetery at the Fulda Gallery.
In the presence of Mayor Dr. Wolfgang Dippel, director of the urban green area Dirk Craft Office, a tree was planted by the representatives of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community headquarters in Fulda, in a ceremony.
"We hope that the tree will have many roots and it brings us together even more closely," said Dr. Dippel, who thanked the community on behalf of the city for this "nice gesture" of the community.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community has approximately 30,000 members in Germany, organized into 250 local municipalities.
Fulda consists of 250 people for the religious community.
"We see ourselves as a part of society and as a citizen of this country, so we the want to deepen our contact with the people through a number of activities such as New Year's cleaning and tree planting commitment ", explained Rafique Khawaja who leads the Ahmadiyya community in Fulda on January first of each year for cleaning the garbage from the city streets on New Year's morning .
"It's important that we go to each other and open the conversation with each other looking", the Fulda mayor concluded.
