CHINO - The 27th Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Jalsa Salana West Coast Convention will be held next weekend in Chino.
The three-day convention will begin with the regular sermon and prayer in English at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 28 Baitul Hameed Mosque, 11941 Romona Ave., Chino.
"The primary purpose of this convention is to enable every sincere individual to personally experience religious benefits," according to a news release.
The convention is open to the public and expected to draw about 1,500 people.
The main speech topics over the three-day event will be the character and teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad and the character and teachings of the Holy Prophet's promised deputy and humble servant, Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, who was the Imam Mahdi for the Muslims, as well as the Second Coming of the Messiah for Muslims, Christians, Hindus, Buddhists and all other religions awaiting a Second Coming of their founder.
