USA: Program explores what is needed to raise up black community


The presentation will be an evaluation of the state of black America and a clear description of what is needed to raise the community to reach its fullest potential through poetry, visual displays and facts.

RACINE — The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of Southeast Wisconsin and Lake County, Ill., will host a presentation called “The Straight Path — Islam’s Response to Black America’s Issues” from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 22, at the George Bray Center, 924 Center St.

The presentation will be an evaluation of the state of black America and a clear description of what is needed to raise the community to reach its fullest potential through poetry, visual displays and facts.

This program will highlight presentations done by Muhibb Dyer of Milwaukee, Daud Ahmad of Racine and Hafiz Nasiruddin of St. Louis. It will be facilitated by Jameel Ghuari of Racine.
