As a religious body that has been explicit and steadfast in the preaching of love of God and love of Humanity, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association has been keen and enthusiastic in maintaining bonds and close ties with all other religious communities; practicing the belief in tolerance and acceptance of the beliefs of others, as prescribed in Islam. Having now been present within the UK for 125 years, the community has contributed endlessly to local communities, whether it be through walks for charity, blood drives, cleaning the snow from the streets or picking up litter during the New Year’s celebrations.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community has shown through their perseverance of obtaining peace, with their motto of ‘Love For All Hatred For None’, their loyalty to the citizens of Great Britain, regardless of creed or colour, and that they are here to stay. They have shown an unwavering sense of love, continuously giving without ever asking for anything in return, aside from acceptance and that those around them try to understand them, with open minds and hearts.

Week after week, members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community gather in Croydon’s Whitgift Centre and spare a whole day hoping that the name of Islam will once be shouted out without fear.

Despite having heard Islam’s terrible reputation on the media and on platforms similar to it, Syed Fazal Ahmad and his friends gathered on a stall and distributed leaflets which belonged to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. These volunteers distributed more than 1,000 leaflets (1,037 to be precise) to show that Islam DOES preach Loyalty, Love, Brotherhood and respect to other faiths as well as individuals.

These volunteers, who summed up to 10 in total, were received very well by the public and were appreciated by others for spending time to distribute the truth.

A lady whilst walking past, having first declined an offered leaflet, saw the bold display of “Loyalty, Love, Brotherhood and Peace” on the front cover, turned back and took the leaflet, thanking the members upon her leave.

This voluntary work is carried out of a much larger scale and can be visited on www.khuddam.org.uk
