Imam Mohammed Zafarullah of Baitul Hameed Mosque in Chino paid a courtesy visit to State Assemblymember Freddie Rogdriguez at his office last week. Assemblymember Rogdriguez represents the 52nd Assembly District of California.
Imam Zafarullah, who is the southwest US regional missionary for the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA, was joined by Hmaza Hashmi, local outreach director for the community's Inland Empire chapter.
Imam said the purpose of the visit was to introduce the local Ahmadiyya Muslim community and invite Assemblymember Rogdriguez to the community's upcoming annual convention. "We invited the Assemblymember to join us at our upcoming convention in the special open session," said Imam Zafarullah.
The Special Guest Program is scheduled for Saturday, December 27, 2014, at 3:00 PM.
Imam Zafarullah further said he availed the opportunity to present the Assemblymember with the book, World Crisis and the Pathway to Peace, by His Holiness Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Supreme Spiritual Leader of the World Wide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
Assemblymember Rogdriguez thanked the Imam for the visit and offered his cooperation in works leading to promotion of peace.
