USA: First Midwest Regional Training Convention Held by Ahmadi Muslims in Chicago


In the second session of the convention a unique program was held where boys, age 7-15 years, conducted this session on men’s side and girls, age 7-15 years, did the same in women’s section.

More then 450 Men, Women and children attended from Different Chapters of the USA

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of Chicago held its first two-day Midwest Training Convention at Baet-ul-Jaamay mosque in Glen Ellyn, IL.

Over 450 members attended the convention.

The event began on Saturday, December 27, 2014, with members attending the convention from various chapters of the United States including Bloomington, Chicago East, Chicago Northwest, Chicago Southwest, Milwaukee, Oshkosh, Minnesota, Zion, Atlanta, Harrisburg, Pittsburg, Maryland, and Virginia.

Munum Naeem, National Vice President of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA presided over the opening session of the program. A special message of Dr. Ahsanullah Zafar, National President of Ahmadiyya Muslim community USA was read out to the attendees.

In the second session of the convention a unique program was held where boys, age 7-15 years, conducted this session on men’s side and girls, age 7-15 years, did the same in women’s section. Boys and girls delivered speeches and each session was presided over by one of their own young members. However, all men and women attended their respective sessions. The unique session was appreciated by all as children’s speeches and presentations showed their enthusiasm and preparation.

The final session of the day consisted of a combined program for men and women and was presided over by respected Falahauddin Shams, VP Ahmadiyya Muslim community USA.

At the end of the session, members were provided an opportunity to ask any question from a panel of national elders including Munum Naeem, Falahauddin Shams and Imam Shamshad Nasir.

Sunday 28th, 2014, -- the second day of the convention -- started at 4:30 am with Tahajjud prayers in congregation.

The final session of the convention  was presided by Masood Ahmad Malik, Vice President Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA.  Imam Faran Rabbani, AbuBakar Bin Saeed, Dhul Waqar Yaqub and Imam Shamshad A. Nasir spoke prior to the conclusion of the final session.
