Friday's solar eclipse represents a "day of judgement," a pastor is warning the entire Europe.

According to the UK's Daily mirror, Pastor Mark Biltz of El Shaddai Ministries says that it's a warning to European countries that have seen "the rise of Islam".

Biltz believes that since solar eclipse fell at the beginning of the Jewish religious calendar, the timing is significant because “in Jewish tradition, a total solar eclipse is a warning to the Gentiles and a sign of judgment on the nations," he told World Net Daily, Daily mirror wrote.

"When we look at where the darkness will be, it will be in northern European countries like England and Sweden where we see the rise of Islam and anti-Israel sentiment."

Citing a Jewish tradition in which eclipses are considered God's warning to the Gentiles as well as signs of "judgment on the nations," Blitz said "Europeans especially should take heed.”

On Friday morning the moon passed in front of the sun and blocked light from reaching earth.

The eclipse hit much of northern Europe, and some parts of Britain witnessed up to 99 per cent darkness.

It comes on the same day as the "grand-opening ceremony of the tabernacle of Moses, with fire from heaven lighting the altar," Blitz said according to Daily Mirror.

He said: "Historically, this is a day of judgement."
