On Saturday 4th of July 2015 the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association Marsden Park, Blacktown Sydney will host its annual Interfaith Ramadan Dinner under the title of ‘Fasting in my Religion’. Well known religious leaders and dignitaries including Hon. Michelle Rowland MP, Shadow Minister for Citizenship and Multiculturalism, Hon. John Robertson MP, Hon. Ms Pure Car MP, Hon. David Clare MP and Cr Stephen Ball mayor Blacktown council are amongst the participants.
Theme of this year’s event is; ‘Fasting in my Religion’ – speakers from different political and religious backgrounds and faith will shed light on the common religious practice of fasting as per the teachings of their religion. Imam Kauser, National President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association Australia said:
“I hope and pray that this event bring people of different backgrounds together and they understand the common ground of religion which teaches us to serve humanity and spread love and peace”.
