India: Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology to receive 50 wheelchairs form Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Bangalore


Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology is the second largest cancer institute in India, which treats more than 3 Lakh patients suffering from various types of Cancer, Annually.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at Bangalore is organizing a Khidmat-e-Khalq (public service) program at the Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, on Saturday, the 3rd of October, in which 50 wheelchairs will be donated to the hospital.

On the same day, members of Ahmadiyya Muslim women's wing, Lajna-Imaillah, of Bangalore would distribute packages of gifts to more than 100 small children between the ages of 4-14 who are being treated for various types of cancer at the Pediatric department.

Ahmadi Muslim elders' auxiliary, Majlis Ansarullah, would distribute 100 packets of fruits at Kidwai on the same day in commemoration of the organization's Platinum Jubilee.

Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology is the second largest cancer institute in India, which treats more than 3 Lakh patients suffering from various types of Cancer, Annually. Most of these patients can’t even afford their own treatment, hence the institute gives subsidized to free treatments with Medicines.

The hospital was facing an acute shortage of good wheelchairs for the patients to be moved around between the buildings. The Ahmadiyya community has hence decided to address this requirement by donating 50 strong custom made wheelchairs.
