Pakistan: Another Christian to face blasphemy charges
The outskirt of the capital, where Christian slum are located, is under threat to be demolished and various efforts have been under way to to disrupt lives there.

Islamabad: Another Christian booked in a blasphemy case in the capital. According to the details, the latest charge is a part of a case from December 07, 2014, when a police report was registered against 11 people, including three females, one pastor and some unknown Does, accusing the group of blasphemy and assault,

The original complaint said that more than 50 people had attacked the house of one Naseem Bibi, a former Christian, and gave insulted remarks about Islam. Bibi had reported that they also insulted Quran. A case was registered under PP 295-B, 354, 452, 148, 149 in PS Margalla, Islamabad. Several accused were sent to prison but later released on bail.
Few days back the original complainant, Naseem Bibi, reportedly submitted another application in the police station that one of the unknown people in the original case is identified as Imran Manwar and he should be included in FIR and be investigated under the blasphemy act.
Bibi claimed that Manwar had repeatedly used bad language against Islam and provoked other people into insulting Islam.
The outskirt of the capital, where Christian slum are located, is under threat to be demolished and various efforts have been under way to to disrupt lives there.
During the recent past, there has been a sustained effort to clear Christian slum under the umbrella of taking strict security measures.
