According to Gatestone Institute the Pakistani government and military have warned the nation's tiny Christian minority that Islamic terrorist groups plan to target Christian religious institutions in the near future.
The plan of anti-Christian attacks allegedly includes Pakistan's Christian churches, schools, and hospitals.
Christian leader assert that there is already a government sponsored anti-Christian campaign in action by way of blasphemy laws and other discriminatory policies towards the religious minority.
The prevailing public attitude towards minorities, the Christian leadership believes, will only help Islamic State (ISIS) whose cells have already entered Pakistan and they are reported in action under other extremist outfits' names and banners against religious minorities.
Yesterday Pakistani Christians across the globe mourned their lost and injured on the 2nd anniversary of the Peshawar twin bomb attack which killed more than 100 people and injured more than 250, an incident labelled as the worst attack on Christians in the nation.
Recently, the Christian exodus from Pakistan is driven by visceral hatred and a total disregard for the rights of minorities. In a country where non-Muslim Minister for Minorities, Shahbaz Bhatti, can be murdered in broad daylight, where churches are bombed, where an illiterate woman can be sentenced to death on blasphemy charges, where a husband and wife can be burnt alive in front of their young children by an enraged Muslim mob, and where there is a culture of impunity which rarely leads to those responsible being brought to justice and to punish, it is little wonder that many Christians are fleeing for their lives.
It doubly compounds their suffering when mob burnt Christian homes and when international community does not take it seriously to stand with them.
