These are not mere slogans. Rather, these are various campaigns undertaken by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA.
“Muslims for Life” is an award-winning campaign in which Muslims are coming together nationwide to arrange blood donation drives. Over the last four years, more than 40,000 pints of blood have been collected to save more than 100,000 lives beyond boundaries of faith or color.
The goal is to shed our own blood to save lives and to commemorate the victims of 9/11—a unique response to this tragedy.
This year again, “Muslims for Life” was officially launched by a blood drive on Capitol Hill on Sept. 11. It was greatly reassuring to see it get bipartisan support.
In all these campaigns, it is not surprising that women are involved. This role is important to them as functional members of society.
By teaching their children love of true peaceful faith, they prevent their kids from being radicalized.
This year, Ahmadi Muslim women organized a Sept. 11 “Day on the Hill” at which 61 female Muslim leaders met their local congressional leaders to discuss how to prevent youth radicalization.
“Under this guided plan by our community, our Muslim youth grow up to display not only the peaceful, inclusive teachings of Islam, but also demonstrate a profound loyalty to their country of residence, the United States,” said Saliha Malik, national president of the Women’s Auxiliary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
This message of love and peace is not new. It’s the same message that Prophet Muhammad practiced 1,400 years ago.
I hope this message of peace gets its true recognition.
