Under the guidance of Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmed, the worldwide head of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association (AMYA) is conducting Islam Open Houses throughout the nation to remove misconceptions regarding Islam.
AMYA members say they believe extremists have hijacked their religion, and say those extremists represent less than one per cent of the entire Muslim population. They says their goal is to reach every community throughout Canada and give presentations on true teachings of Islam and answer any questions people may have.
As part of this campaign, there will be an Islam open house at North Battleford Public Library, 1392 – 101st St., Saturday, Jan. 23 from noon to 4 p.m.
