Sri Lanka: Holy Qur’an Sinhala Translation distribution continues far and wide


To all of them, along copy of the Sinhala Translation of the Holy Qur’an with some other literatures including Peace Messages in English as well as Sinhala were presented.

A two member delegation from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Sri Lanka (AMJSL) comprising Mr.A. Abdul Aziz, Press Secretary and National Director Faith Outreach - AMJSL and Moulavi K. Muneer Ahmad (Missionary - Pasyala, visited one of the Sri Lanka’s busy area Nittambuwa on 20 January 2016, to gift Holy Qur’an Sinhala Translation to Schools in the area.

The delegation met Principal, Pasyala Maha Vidyalaya, Mr. Mahinda and gifted copy of Holy Qur’an Sinhala Translation. He warmly welcomed the delegation and said he will read this Holy Book as he is in longing of to know about what it says.

Another Principal of Rampokunugama College, Nittambuwa expressed his willingness to know about Islam as he remarked that the religion of peace cannot support any type of terrorism in any form.

Principal, St. Mary’s College, Veyangoda Mrs. K.G. Kalyani expressed her interest to know about Islam, while accepting the Copy of Holy Qur’an Sinhala Translation.

Deputy Principal President’s College, Veyangoda Mr. V.R. Weerakkon welcomed the delegation and showed much interest to know about Islam – Ahmadiyyath. He was told in brief and highlighted about the tireless efforts being made by the Khalifa and the Ahmadiyya worldwide leader, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, by spreading the true teachings of Islam through various means, particularly addressing lawmakers at Capitol Hill, EU Parliament, in Ireland Parliament, and recently the Dutch Parliament.

He was informed about the gist of His Holiness' address during the recent Dutch Parliament visit. It was cleared to him that these ISIS actions didn’t have any remote link with the teachings of Islam as taught by Holy Qur’an and its Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The Principal informed the delegation that he will invite Ahmadiyya Representatives to attend the all Religious Meeting scheduled to be held in the School in May 2016.

The delegation visited Baudha Maha Vidyalaya, Sangabothi Maha Viyalaya, in Nittambuwa and Bandaranayaka Central College in Veyangoda and Marapola Maha Vidyalaya, Nayawela.

To all of them, along copy of the Sinhala Translation of the Holy Qur’an with some other literatures including Peace Messages in English as well as Sinhala were presented. Moreover, the Sinhala Translation of the book ‘The Philosophy of the Teachings of Islam’ written by Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad – Founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Islam, also presented.

Niottambuwa is a city having thick population of Buddhist Community and a close to our Center in Pasyala.

People should read and understand this Holy Book – that is our prayers and wish.
