In support of its new national campaign to counter hate crimes against Muslims, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at Canada is hosting three different open houses in Brampton next week.
The purpose of the open houses is to condemn terrorist attacks all around the world, denounce activities of extremist group such as ISIS or Taliban and counter all forms of hate crimes against Muslims, the group says.
Following terrorist attacks in Paris, France, last year in November, Ahmadiyya Jama'at launched a Canada-wide campaign titled Demystify Islam (#DemystifyIslam).
The campaign was geared towards holding 135 open houses at 50 locations across Canada to spread peace, demystify Islam and create religious harmony.
Due to positive response, the campaign expanded the number of open houses from 135 to 250.
Events in Brampton will take place on March 6 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Unit 17, 15 Fisherman Dr.; Unit 11, 30 Intermodal Dr.; and Unit 115, 160 Main St. S.
