India: 3rd Waqfe Nau South Zone Karnataka Ijtema (convention) held
The Sunday's program that went on for an entire day started off with Congregation prayer of pre-dawn Tahajjud prayers followed by morning Fajr prayer and a talk on the importance of Waqf-e-Zindagi (life devotion).

Bangalore Ahmadiyya Muslim Community organized its 3rd Waqfe Nau South Zone Karnataka Ijtema (convention) at Bangalore on Sunday the 14th of February 2016 where over 300 attendees including Waaqifeen, their parents, Secretaries, Missionaries, Presidents and other community members of 7 localities namely Bangalore, Jakkur, Mangalore, Shivamoga, Sorab, Sagar and Madekeri participated.
Waqfe Nau is a lifetime devotee program of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community where parents enroll their unborn children and promise to raise them for the exclusive objective of service to humanity at the direction of the community. At several junctures throughout their growing up years, children -- or, Waaqifeen -- get several opportunities to keep in or opt out of the life devotion program.
The Sunday's program that went on for an entire day started off with Congregation prayer of pre-dawn Tahajjud prayers followed by morning Fajr prayer and a talk on the importance of Waqf-e-Zindagi (life devotion).
Then sports such as Nut picking, Musical Chair, Memory test were conducted for the younger Waaqifeen and message relay and other games of intellect for the older Waaqifeen.
After breakfast, the inaugural session of the ijtema started with the recitation of Holy Quran and a poem. Mudabbir Ahmed, a Waqf-e-nau, delivered inaugural speech on the “Tehreek-e-Waqf-e-Nau”.
Sharik Majeed, Secretary Waqf-e-Nau, Bangalore and Sadr Ijtema committee South Zone Karnataka, spoke about the usage of social networking sites and explained in detail the pitfalls of the out-of-control social media. Meer Abdul Hameed, Missionary In charge Bangalore, spoke on the importance of Waqf-e-Nau and the responsibility of the parents of the Waaqifeen.
Educational competitions for various age groups of Waaqifeen were held from the Waqfe Nau Syllabus.
Lunch was served after the midday and afternoon Zuhr and Asr prayers, followed by a medical camp for the Waaqifeen in the mission house premises. More competitions and interactive discussion program continued afterward.
At the Concluding session Molvi Muslehuddin sadi, Missionary incharge Madikeri, spoke followed by a Vote of thanks and prize distribution for sports and Educational Competitions.
Overall it was a very successful Ijtema in which more than 50 Wakfeen participated and made an excellent event. May Allah enable them to fulifill their waqf to the Jamaat and accept their Sacrifices, Aameen Summa Aameen.
