On Saturday, 27th of the February 2016 Ahmadiyya Muslim community Adelaide south visited rural town of Whyalla, South Australia for holding a bookstall and Quran Exhibition and Alhumdulliallah once again got a chance to accomplished the revelation of the Promised Messiah (as) that “ I shall cause thy message to reach the corners of the earth”.
The Whyalla town is situated about 395 km far from Adelaide city. It is also known as Steel town due to its integrated steelworks and shipbuilding heritage. Total population of the town is about 23,000 and is the third most populous city of the South Australia state after Adelaide and Mount Gambier.
About 22 members went on this tour, starting at about 5:30 a.m. they left Adelaide in a convoy of 2 vans and arrived in Whyalla at about 12 p.m. After arriving at Whyalla, the first stop was made at a local library where the community was given the opportunity to place the Holy Quran and books, including the Philosophy of the Teachings of Islam, Life of Muhammad (saw) and World Crisis, The Pathway to Peace.
Later members were organised in different teams and they were designated sections of Whyalla for distributing pamphlets to every house of Whyalla town where they got a chance to distribute the real message of Islam Ahmadiyyat in every house of the Whyalla town and spread the peaceful message of Islam so passionately.
A total of about 32,560 Peace Pamphlets were distributed on the day.
During the evening a book stall was also organised at a local night market which exhibited Holy Quran and other literature and attracted abundance of interest from the general public. Our members received a lot of positive feedback from the locals as they told us that this is the first ever Muslim community who visited in this area and tell people about peaceful teachings of Islam. They also appreciated the chance to know ‘what is real Islam’ and clear misconceptions about Islam.
