The Islamic State claimed responsibility for deadly bombings that traumatised Brussels on March 22.
The attack killed at least 30 people at the main international airport and in a subway station at the heart of the city, near the headquarters of the European Union.
Hours later the police found an unexploded bomb, loaded with nails, in a Brussels house search, along with chemicals and an Islamic State flag.
Ahmadiyya Muslim Association Australia national spokesman Aziz Omer said the association condemns horrific terrorist attacks in the strongest possible manner and offers its deepest condolences to the people and the government of Belgium.
“Under no circumstances does Islam permit terrorism,” he said.
The National President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Australia Imam Kauser said: “Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of the innocent victims.”
“Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Australia categorically rejects extremism and terrorism in any form and anywhere in the world. Islam teaches us the sacredness and dignity of human life. Islam requires us being loyal and lawing abiding citizens of the country of residence.”
