"Let's pray together for the victims of these horrific tragedies, for the safety of all Ahmadies, and for world peace in general. This gives an excellent opportunity for members to invite outside guests to learn about Islam and its true teachings."

On Thursday the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community will be holding an interfaith prayer at Mubarak Mosque in Chantilly, Virginia in memory of the victims of the attacks in Brussels and Lahore. These attacks have just as much shaken the Muslims as anyone else and so the Ahmadies of Virginia have taken it upon themselves to invite everyone together to remember all those we have lost.
It was also requested of the Ahmadies to observe a voluntary fast for all those suffering so that time can be spent properly in prayer. As it happened the head of the Ahmadiyya Movement, Mirza Masroor Ahmad, had advised his following years ago in one of his Friday sermons, to observe a fast every Thursday for the world's turmoil, and to give alms and submit in constant prayer.
Tariq Amjed, President of the Virginia chapter had this to say:
Let's pray together for the victims of these horrific tragedies, for the safety of all Ahmadies, and for world peace in general. This gives an excellent opportunity for members to invite outside guests to learn about Islam and its true teachings.
The interfaith prayer is open to all who wish to convene in honor of the ones lost in the latest attacks we've seen. More information is available below, and you can find out more on www.trueislam.com
