The Ahamdiyya Muslim Community of Southern California will hold a prayer vigil at the Baitul Hameed Mosque in Chino to honor the victims and their families who were struck by a suicide bomber in Lahore, Pakistan.

The attack targeted at the Christian families celebrating Easter in Iqbal Town Park left nearly 75 people dead and several hundred injured, mostly women and children.

A communique sent by Imam Mohammed Zafarullah to the community's interfaith partners said they will be holding a prayer vigil at the Baitul Hameed Mosque on Monday, March 28th, at 7 pm "to pray for our Christian brothers ‎and sisters."

On behalf of his community, Imam Zafarullah expressed profound sadness about the lives lost in the Pakistan attack.

"We are heartbroken at news of today's horrific massacre in Lahore, in which over 60 people, mostly Christian women and children, were brutally massacred by the Taliban," it further stated.

"We would welcome your participation and your members; and any remarks you might like to make."
