USA: Los Angeles West (Metro) Chapter celebrates Promised Messiah day
Imam Hanjra referenced some saying of the Holy Prophet Muhammad as to why it is imperative to believe in the prophesies and what are our obligations as Ahmadi Muslims.

The Los Angeles West Chapter of the Ahmadiyya Muslim observed Masieh Moud Day on March 27th 2016 at Baitus Salam mosque in Hawthorn, California.
The meeting started with recitation followed by President Jalaluddin Ahmad opening remarks where he mentioned the prophecy regarding Alexander Dowie and described city of Zion near Chicago which Dowie had founded.
Ahmad said he visited Zion in 1989 where no one even remembered who Alexander Dowie was although the city was practically made by him.
After a recitation of poem Ibrahim Naeem briefed the attendees about prophesies regarding the advent of the of the Masieh and Mehdi and how the people were waiting for his arrival. When Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian, India, proclaimed to be the promised Messiah, the so called scholars twisted the prophecies and rejected him instead of accepting the earlier prophesies. Naeem also narrated some of the prophesies of Promised Messiah regarding his truth and his prophecies regarding wars and other revelations.
After another recitation of poem Mohammed Ahmed Shabooti gave a speech on the Massieh Moud love for the Holy Quran. He eloquently covered the topic in detail showing Promised Messiah's passion and love towards the study of Holy Quran from his early childhood.
Another talk was given by the president of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth wing of the community, Omar Kinto, elaborating the similarities between the earlier Massieh (Jesus) and Promised Massieh, Hazrat Ahmad of Qadian.
The last speech was rendered by Imam Zafarullah Hanjra who scholarly explained the meaning of Massieh, Mehdi and Moud and elaborated each aspect of these meanings. Imam Hanjra referenced some saying of the Holy Prophet Muhammad as to why it is imperative to believe in the prophesies and what are our obligations as Ahmadi Muslims.
The attendees also prayed for the victims of Brussels and their families and also for the latest carnage in Lahore where innocent women and children were killed when they were celebrating Easter in a park.
The celebration ended with prayers and lunch.
