Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at Milton presents Muhammad, The Astonishing Story of the Prophet at the Milton Centre for the Arts.

The group's premier event is set for Thursday, Apr. 28 at the Mattamy Theatre. Doors open at 6 p.m., with the event scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. Refreshments will follow at 8:30 p.m.

The show is about the peaceful origins of Islam and its founder. Organizers say the show aims to demystify Islam to the western audience, who may know Muslims but still not know much about Islam and its peaceful and charitable teachings.

Several groups within Milton have been invited to attend. Milton United Church's Reverend Tyler Powel and members of his congregation, as well as new Syrian families have also been involved.

Guests will include major charities that work with the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at such as the Milton District Hospital Foundation, United Way and Salvation Army Milton.
