Canada: Ahmadiyya organized inaugural Run for Milton nets $5K for hospital expansion project

Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at members turned out Sunday to Milton District Hospital, where they presented hospital foundation representatives with a $5,000 cheque — proceeds from the group's inaugural Run for Milton.
The first-ever Run for Milton was held May 28 at the Mattamy National Cycling Centre.
The family-friendly event featured a one- and five-kilometre run/walk in support of the Milton District Hospital, which is currently undergoing a massive expansion to better serve the community.

This event organized by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community was fully supported by the Town of Milton and the Milton District Hospital.

The Run For Milton has been a phenomenal run right from its inception to the day. Great community involvement and response was seen. More than 250 registered for the run and all the dignitaries from Milton and Halton including the Mayor, MPs and Councilos, Police Chiefs, Chair Halton attended. The National President of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at Canada, Honorable Lal Khan Malik Sahib inaugurated the race. All is all, the first run went great and the Team Milton is looking to make the second run even successful by the grace of Allah the almighty.
