A four members delegation of the Bangalore Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at including its president Musaddiq Ahmad attended a book release ceremony at an auditorium in Bangalore of the title “Hindutva Or Hind Swaraj” by the late popular writer Jnanapeet Awardee Padma Bhushan U R Ananthamurthy.
This book is the English translation of U R Ananthamurthy’s last work which was in Kannada. As the name suggests it was about his fear of the rising fascism in India.
The Ahmadiyya community members had good relations with the legendary U R Ananthamurthy and he had given a good video message for the Ahmadiyya Peace Symposium held in Bangalore in 2013.

These included eminent scholars such as Girish Karnad, popular writer, Jnanapeet awardee and activist; Ramachandre Guha, topmost historian and columnist in India; Jayant Kaikeni, famous writer, poet and lyricist in Kannada; Vivek Shanbhag, reputed writer and son in law of UR Ananthamurthy; Rajan Gurakkal, writer, academician and ex VC Mahatma Gandhi University; and Aakar Patel, a writer, translator and columnist.
