Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association will host its fifth annual nationwide walkathon, including an event at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, in Shiloh Park, 2400 Dowie Memorial Drive, Zion.
In partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Lake County, Humanity First USA and other relief groups, AMYA seeks to raise funds and awareness to fight hunger in America.
This is a nationwide effort that features simultaneous walks in Illinois and four other cities across the country.
These walks draw more than 1,000 American Muslim youth and guests. Muslim youth from across the nation are raising funds for this walk.
This annual effort has raised more than $200,000 since 2012. AMYA invites the public to join them in participating in this Walkathon.
