The Dutch populist politician Geert Wilders goes on trial in the Netherlands over hate speech charges on Monday.
The anti-immigration leader of the Freedom Party, famous for his provocative views on Islam, is hoping to become the next prime minister.

The charges were brought after he led a chant for fewer Moroccans in the Netherlands at a rally 18 months ago.

Mr Wilders, leader of the Dutch Freedom Party (PVV), had said that he will not attend Monday's trial in Schiphol, calling it "a travesty".
