India: Manjeshwar's Ahmadiyya Muslim women visit Bhagini Samaj Orphanage, donate gifts, groceries

"Our motto is 'No nation can progress without educating their women'"
The Manjeshwar, Northern Kerala, chapter of the women’s wing of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Lajna Ima'Illah, organized a human services event, known as Khidmat-e Khalq, at an orphanage, in Mangalore, an Arabian Sea port city in the Indian state of Karnataka, on the 5th of November 2016.
Eleven members of Lajna Ima'Illah, 3 member from their auxiliary organization for young girls, Nasirat-ul Ahmadiyya, and 3 children visited the Bhagini Samaj Orphanage and distributed lunch and sweets for 45 children and 8 staffs of this Orphanage.
The Ahmadiyya delegation also distributed grocery items to the Orphanage.
"Ahmadiyya Muslim community is regarded as the most peaceful organization in the world," said Lajna Ima'Illah's Manjeshwar chapter president, Dr. Waseema Salam in her remarks. "We work hard to promote peace and harmony in the society."
Dr Salam said the organization works under the leadership of His Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the supreme head of the worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, who presently lives in London.
"Our motto is “No nation can progress without educating their women”," elaborated Dr Salam adding that the community organizes various humanitarian events to help the needy.
"This is one such event," she said.
Dr Salam presented a memento to incharge of the Bhagini Samag Orphanage on behalf of Lajna Ima’Illah Manjeshwar.
Local human services director of the Manjeshwar Lajna Ima’Illah, Rahmath Rafieq presented Kannada translation of two books namely, ‘Life of Muhammad’ and ‘World Crisis & Pathway to Peace’.
After the Lunch, the delegation had a friendly conversation with children and staffs of the Orphanage.
