Dr Syed Basharat Ahmad Shah is a native of Bijbehara in south Kashmir
After achieving the feat of becoming first expatriate from India who was made honorary judge in the German judicial system, Dr Syed Basharat Ahamd Shah, was honoured by the India International Friendship Society (IIFS) with two prestigious Awards: the Lifetime Achievement Award and the Glory Of India Award (also known as Bharat Jyoti Award) and the corresponding Certificates Of Excellence at a glittering and prestigious function, the Global Friendship Day Banquet on October 4, 2016 at hotel Holiday Inn, Bangkok, Thailand.
The Awards were presented by His Excellency Korn Dabbransi, Former Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand in recognition of the saga of Dr Shah’s multifaceted social, humanitarian, public, professional engagements and academic achievements.

India International Friendship Society (IIFS) is a voluntary organization of Indian national and expatriate international personalities, driven by the objective to promote and forge greater unity and friendship between resident and overseas Indians.
Dr Shah, who is a native of Bijbehara in south Kashmir, has travelled across the world including Germany, Canada, UK, almost all European countries and continents.
Dr Shah has already presented his scientific work successfully at different conferences in Canada, Germany, Belgium, Luxemburg, China, South Africa, Netherlands, Austria, France, Middle East, Thailand, Singapore, India and Pakistan, besides having the honour of being the life member of more than eleven international scientific and civic organisations.
An Arts and Law graduate, he is the lone Kashmiri recipient of the prestigious IAAVR AWARD at the 4th Indian Veterinary Congress in 2004 at IVRI Izatnagar, Bereilly
