Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Australia is involved in various efforts to contribute towards charities such as the Red Cross, Clean Up Australia Day, National Tree Plantation, and feeding the homeless
This symposium, a key event of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, will be held at the largest Mosque in Australia, Baitul Huda (House of Guidance) on Saturday 2nd December 2017.
The event will promote a deeper understanding for people of all faiths and beliefs, and seeks to inspire a concerted effort for lasting peace. The event is expected to attract more than 900 people including leading politicians, diplomats, academics, religious and secular leaders, and members of the public.
The National President and Grand Imam of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Australia, Mr. I. H. Kauser said:
“This peace symposium provides a unique platform to leaders of all faiths and of no faiths, to sit under one roof, break the bread and discuss different ways and challenges in establishing lasting peace in our society. It is a unique gathering in a way that discusses only one theme and that is peace. We, the Ahmadi Muslims, are eager to learn and spread the message of peace and harmony which is important and crucial than it has ever been. Our objective is to bring communities and leaders together and develop an alliance to establish peace and harmony in our society.”
Imam Kauser further said:
“This event is for all those who are interested in learning about peace building and community relations. Sharing is caring, so let everyone come and bring their own religious perspectives on how we can achieve peace. Having people from different faiths, colours, cultures and backgrounds sitting under one roof is a sign of love, respect and harmony. We’ll aim to discuss ‘how can we achieve peace within yourself, in family, with friends, society, around the country and all over the world’"
