Sri Lanka: Quran Sinhala Translation gift to State Minister of Irrigation Palitha Range Bandara


The Community does not have any political agenda and never participates in protests and procession. Even though the Community in Pakistan is facing persecution because of their faith, it never responds in such a manner to create disorder on earth.

A three member delegation from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Sri Lanka (AMJSL) comprising Mr. A. Abdul Aziz, Press Secretary and National Director Faith Outreach – AMJSL, Moulavi A.B. Musthaq Ahmad – Chief Missionary (AMJSL), and Moulavi K.M. Munir visited Ministry of Irrigation and Water Resources in Colombo to gift Holy Qur’an Sinhala Translation to Honorable State Minister of Irrigation Palitha Range Bandara today (4 December 2017).

Minister welcomed the delegation and expressed his willingness to know about the Jama’at.  The delegation took this opportunity and put forward the brief of Ahmadiyyath. He commended the task of Ahmadiyya Community in translating the Holy Qur’an into Sinhala language in simple manner so that the common man easily understands the Teachings of Islam. The delegation pointed out about the unique feature of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community and said that this is the only Community in Islam which has Spiritual Leadership established by God and termed as ““ONE COMMUNITY – ONE LEADER’.

Introducing the Sinhala Translation of the book World Crisis and the Pathway To Peace – A compilation of addresses in various Parliaments by His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, May Allah Strengthen his hands, it was told about the tireless efforts being made by the Khalifa and the Ahmadiyya worldwide leader, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, by spreading the true teachings of Islam through various means, particularly addressing lawmakers at Capitol Hill, EU Parliament, UK Parliament, Ireland Parliament, New Zealand Parliament, Dutch Parliament, Canada Parliament and so on so forth. On hearing this, Honorable Minister remarked: A great valuable task, you are all doing – a praiseworthy one.

Minister was further told that the Ahmadiyya Community being a peaceful Community spreading the Message of Islam in peaceful manner under the guidance of His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad who is residing in London. The Community does not have any political agenda and never participates in protests and procession. Even though the Community in Pakistan is facing persecution because of their faith, it never responds in such a manner to create disorder on earth. Because of this, Ahmadis in Pakistan migrate from their own country and come to Sri Lanka and other countries for their resettlement in third countries through UNHCR, Minister was explained.

Ahmadiyya Community serves to humanity in various means through their charitable organization Humanity First and the delegation recalled the service of Humanity First during Tsunami 2004 in Sri Lanka. Minister observed very attentively and said you are all a separate sect in Islam.
