Sri Lanka: Ahmadiyya Jama'at presents Quran Sinhala Translation to Minister of Rural Economy


When mentioned our Motto: Love For All; Hatred For None – the Minister exclaimed and drew the attention of his officials towards this beautiful words.

A three member delegation from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Sri Lanka (AMJSL) comprising Mr. A. Abdul Aziz, Press Secretary and National Director Faith Outreach – AMJSL, Moulavi A.B. Musthaq Ahmad – Chief Missionary (AMJSL), and Mr. I. Shakeel Ahmad (Photographer) visited to Ministry of Rural Economy in Colombo recently (30/01/2018).

Ministry Officials welcomed the delegation and arranged to meet Hon. P. Harison, Minister of Rural Economy. Meeting was arranged prior to an important meeting already scheduled.

Advisor to the Hon. Minister Mr. H.L. Tissera who already expressed his willingness to have a copy of Holy Qur’an Sinhala Translation for his own reading, briefed to the Minister about the purpose of our visit.

 Prior to the presentation of the Holy Qur’an Sinhala Translation to the Minister, Jama’at delegation briefed to the Minister about the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at and said that Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (a.s.) claimed to be the Promised Reformer of this age as foretold in four major religions of the world, namely Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity and Islam. After his demise, the system of Khilafath established in this Community as of system of Caliph established after the demise of Prophet of Islam (PBUH). While pointed out this, it was observed Minister was also well aware of Islamic history on this very point.

Introducing the Sinhala Translation of the book World Crisis and the Pathway To Peace – A compilation of addresses in various Parliaments by His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, May Allah Strengthen his hands, it was told about the tireless efforts being made by the Khalifa and the Ahmadiyya worldwide leader, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, by spreading the true teachings of Islam through various means, particularly addressing lawmakers at Capitol Hill, EU Parliament, UK Parliament, Ireland Parliament, New Zealand Parliament, Dutch Parliament, Canada Parliament and so on so forth.

The delegation pointed out about the unique feature of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community and said that this is the only Community in Islam which has Spiritual Leadership established by God and termed as ““ONE COMMUNITY – ONE LEADER’

As the Minister seems to be in tight schedule, Ahmadiyya Delegation, presented Holy Qur’an Sinhala Translation as well as the Sinhala Translation of the book World Crisis and the Pathway To Peace to the Minister.

The same gift also presented to the Advisor to the Hon. Minister Mr. H.L. Tissera, on request.
