Sri Lanka: Quran Sinhala Translation gifted to federal minister Mano Ganesan


Minister admitted that no religion has ever taught to promote violence in any form whatsoever. The image of Islam being damaged in the sight of other religions, because of certain elements, Minister added.

A three member delegation from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Sri Lanka (AMJSL) comprising Mr. A. Abdul Aziz, Press Secretary and National Director Faith Outreach – AMJSL, Moulavi A.B. Musthaq Ahmad – Chief Missionary (AMJSL), and Mr. I. Shakeel Ahmad (Photographer) visited to office of Hon. Mano Ganesan,  Minister of National Co-existence Dialogue and Official languages  in Colombo today (29/01/2018).

Prior to the presentation of the Holy Qur’an Sinhala Translation to the Minister, Jama’at delegation briefed to the Minister about the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at showing the picture of Promised Messiah (a.s.) and said that Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (a.s.) claimed to be the Promised Reformer of this age as foretold in four major religions of the world, namely Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity and Islam. After his demise, the system of Khilafath established in this Community as of system of Caliph established after the demise of Prophet of Islam (PBUH). While pointed out this, it was observed Minister was also well aware of Islamic history on this very point.

The delegation further pointed out the claim of Promised Messiah, peace be on him, by quoting the foretold of Sri Krishna in Bagavath Geetha and said Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, peace be on him claimed as Kaliygha Avadhar in parallel of foretold of Sri Krishna, peace be on him.

Introducing the Sinhala Translation of the book World Crisis and the Pathway To Peace – A compilation of addresses in various Parliaments by His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, May Allah Strengthen his hands, it was told about the tireless efforts being made by the Khalifa and the Ahmadiyya worldwide leader, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, by spreading the true teachings of Islam through various means, particularly addressing lawmakers at Capitol Hill, EU Parliament, UK Parliament, Ireland Parliament, New Zealand Parliament, Dutch Parliament, Canada Parliament and so on so forth.

Minister admitted that no religion has ever taught to promote violence in any form whatsoever. The image of Islam being damaged in the sight of other religions, because of certain elements, Minister added.

Moreover, Minister was recalled the address of Moulana Molavi Muhammad Umar H.A. (from Kerala, India) delivered in 1994 at Ramakridhna Hall Colombo. In this particular address, Moulavi Umar Sahib put forward quotations from Bagavath Geetha in Sanskrit language about the foretold and teachings of Sri Krishna on the advent of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), further explained.

Ahmadiyya Community’s service to the mankind through Humanity First and the service rendered by Sir. Zafarullah khan and Dr. Abdus Salam were also put forward to the Minister.

The delegation pointed out about the unique feature of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community and said that this is the only Community in Islam which has Spiritual Leadership established by God and termed as ““ONE COMMUNITY – ONE LEADER’.

Holy Qur’an Sinhala Translation as well as the Sinhala Translation of the book World Crisis and the Pathway To Peace were presented to the Minister.
