"Love for all, hate for anyone"

More than 12 thousand participants from 13 regions of Burkina Faso, Benin, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Niger, Togo, Germany, Canada, France, Pakistan and the United Kingdom took part in the 27th annual convention of the Ahmadiyya Islamic Community of Burkina Faso.

For three days, the participants conducted reflections on several themes related to the establishment of peace.

According to the President of the National Organizing Committee Abdouramane Diallo, in view of the news marked by the terrorist attacks of March 2, and the rise of incivism, the Ahmadiyya Islamic community intends through this edition to bring once again its contribution to building a society of peace.

In his opinion, beyond all consideration, what we are experiencing today is the result of a collective and especially individual responsibility. "At the level of the Ahmadiyya Islamic Community, we are convinced that if individually everyone plays his role we will be able to meet the challenges of security and incivism in our country" said Mr. Diallo. That is why "we have sensitized our members and sympathizers on the central theme" Our individual responsibilities for the building of a society of peace: contribution of Islamic teachings ", justified the President of the National Organizing Committee. Thus he continues, the participants were entitled to conferences and forums on respect for authority, the duty of patriotism, strengthening of internal peace, etc.

"If it is so true that we all love peace, why then there is no peace on earth? Asked the speaker who animated the central theme, Abdul Rashid Anwar also representing the 5th Caliph of the Islamic Ahmadiyya Community to this convention. And to answer that it is the fact of selfishness. Indeed, argues he, the evidence is that individuals, states, religions all proclaim to love and fight for peace. But each and every country wants peace for him and him alone and this to the detriment of others. For Mr. Anwar, the solution is to have a holistic view of peace. "We must seek the peace of others, before thinking of ourselves" advised the speaker.

"Love for all, hate for anyone"

To the Minister of Territorial Administration and Decentralization Simeon Sawadogo, representing the Prime Minister to increase, "there is no greater terrorist than someone who sleeps in immeasurable comfort while his neighbor rots in the throes of hunger ". For him, social justice, sharing and solidarity would be ramparts against insecurity. "The Muslim religion is a religion of peace and tolerance. Let's avoid conflating this religion that promotes peace with terrorism, "said Simeon Sawadogo. He reassured the leaders of the Ahmadiyya Islamic community of the support of the Prime Minister and his government for the work that this community is doing on the ground in the humanitarian field. These are donations of medicines, school infrastructure and hospitals, solidarity with the poorest, and so on.

The president of the Burkinabè Movement for Human and Peoples' Rights (MBDHP) Chrysogone Zougmoré, who has already participated in the annual convention of the Ahmadiyya of the United Kingdom, told his arrival on the site of the Burkina Faso convention that he did not feel out of place "Wherever I go, I will bring this message of friendship and fraternity that characterizes the Ahmadiyya Islamic community," he promised. Another thing that caught the attention of Mr. Zougmore is the slogan of Ahmadis "Love for all, hate for anyone". For him more than a slogan, it is a real call to faith in God, to openness, to tolerance, to love towards others, beyond any philosophical and religious barrier that should more than ever inspire the entire community.
