The Ahmadiyya Nigeria Muslim Organisation has donated 1,175 pints of blood to patients in various Nigerian hospitals as part of its humanitarian activities.

The National President of the Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Nigeria, Engr. Aina Saheed, made this known in Zaria during a 1-day symposium that took place at the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Hotels, Kongo.

Saheed said the group had engaged its members in a lot of humanitarian activities and renders community development services in different parts of Nigeria.

This, according to him, led to the setting of free medical camps where 530 people benefitted.

Other activities carried out by the group include visiting of prisons, orphanage homes, holding of counselling sessions for couples, planting and nurturing of 1,100 trees.

He said the theme of the group’s 45th convention, ‘National Peace: The Critical Need of the Time’, was chosen in order to proffer ways of addressing some of the issues threatening the peace of Nigeria.
